hi! I’m Amy Cesari, author of Lilac Skully and the Haunted House! I’m super excited to share Lilac’s spooky story with you. Since this is my first “scary” ghost book, I wanted to share some of the influences that made their way into this story.
First, I grew up in a hundred-year-old house, too! Nope, it wasn’t haunted like Skully Manor, but it had its share of creaky, creepy, quirky things about it… especially the terrifying basement!
I’ve also been a lifelong fan of all things creepy and cute… not too scary!! But just the right mix of spooky and fun. Here’s a lot of some of my favorite spooky influences:
